CLUB BIO:
The Rosedale & District Adult Horse Riding Club is a welcoming and community focused club, dedicated to supporting riders of all levels across all disciplines within the HRCAV. We have been running successfully for 31 years now, and in more recent years have had between 50-60 members.
The club grounds are located just off the Princes Highway at Rosedale – an easy drive down the freeway from Melbourne. We offer great facilities, including two large all-weather sand arenas, large grass riding areas, a round yard, club rooms, shower/toilets, horse yards & water. The standout feature of our grounds is our cross-country course, which has been developed in collaboration with the Rosedale Pony Club. The great relationship and shared effort has created a high-quality course that continues to grow and impress. We are very proud to be one of the HRCAV clubs that adds a horse trials to the calendar. We also offer high quality club equipment which includes a full course of show jumps, 6 portable dressage arenas and 3PE obstacle equipment for member, rally and event use.
We are a very active club, hosting a variety of rallies, clinics and events each year, fostering participation, connection, and enjoyment for riders across the region. Our horse trials, dressage, showjumping, combined training & 3PE competitions all run smoothly, efficiently and always receive outstanding feedback from riders, judges and helpers. Generous sponsorship from local businesses enables our events to reward riders with great prizes.
The fundamental success of the club comes down to the strong focus on inclusivity and a community spirit. Our club members actively attend and support many other HRCAV club events and activities – often in a sea of the Burgundy club colour – as members support and encourage each other. We regularly camp together at events, often after travelling many miles, to enjoy not only the competition, but each other’s company, a common love of riding/horses and some good food and a beverage (or few).
Rosedale runs a club rally every month, usually on the third Sunday. We love catching up with members who may not be on the competition scene as much, or prefer a more casual approach to club life. The rally content varies across the year from high quality instructors for the traditional disciplines, to just basic fun and social riding (and the odd trail ride). Every rally incorporates some shared social time over lunch for those who wish to participate.
Running the number of events that we do as a club, we require all members to volunteer and help set up these fantastic events. This assists with club cohesiveness and allows members to mingle off their horses, as well as learn new handy skills.

Rosedale offers many opportunities for riders to come and share our facilities, equipment and grounds through numerous events – we really are not that far away, so we would love for you to come and join us.
