Navigation Rides – getting started
- If you wish to compete in Navigation Rides, you will need a Navigation Ride performance card. You can order a card from the HRCAV shop.
- You will need one Navigation Ride card only. This is used to record the details of each of the horses you compete on as well as placings and points.
- You must be assessed to compete in Navigation Rides on each horse you wish to ride. The Assessment is to determine that you meet competency requirements.
- The Level Assessor does not allocate a level. Your level is determined by the number of Navigation Ride points you (the rider) have earned. Your level is used to calculate penalty points to create a more even playing field.
- You are responsible for completing the details on your card, including your level.
- To determine your level, you need to know how many performance points you have earned in Nav Rides:
- Performance points earned since 2014 are shown on your database record. This is the most reliable record of points earned since 2014 as riders can sometimes forget to add placings to their card.
- Navigation Ride points earned prior to 2014 can be found here Navigation Ride points per rider earned prior to 230914
- Add the points on your database record to any points earned before 2014 to determine your total number of points earned.
- Ascertain your level from the table below:Points per level for Navigation Rides
