CLUB BIO:

Nestled amongst the stunning elm trees of the Lancefield Equestrian Reserve, the Lancefield Equestrian Group (LEG) Inc. is a thriving and welcoming club, currently home to 93 members and continuing to grow.

LEG is fortunate to enjoy exceptional facilities, including dedicated areas for dressage, cross-country, and showjumping. Riders also benefit from 44 steel yards and a round yard, providing both functionality and comfort for horses and riders alike. The grounds themselves are a standout feature, with the magnificent elm trees offering natural shade across the yards and creating a truly picturesque and enjoyable environment. We are also very lucky to have the fabulous Cafeteria established recently by Bruno Granieri, offering a wide variety of food and expresso coffee for all events held at the Equestrian Reserve .

Our club prides itself on offering regular and varied opportunities for members to ride and improve. Rally days are held on the 2nd Sunday and 4th Wednesday of each month, catering to a wide range of riders and abilities. In addition, LEG hosts monthly clinics with highly regarded instructor Holly Stansfield-Smith at David Shoobridge’s indoor arena, providing members with access to quality coaching in a professional setting.

LEG runs three competitions each year, attracting riders from across the region and showcasing the versatility of our facilities and the dedication of our hardworking volunteers.

What truly sets Lancefield Equestrian Group apart, however, is its strong sense of community. The club is known for its friendly, inclusive atmosphere and the support shared among members. This is complemented by a team of outstanding instructors, including Jennie Crowley (Dressage), Lisa Bray (X-Dressage and Cross-Country), and Chris Pearce (Showjumping), who bring expertise, enthusiasm, and encouragement to every session.

At its heart, LEG is more than just a riding club-it is a community built on a shared passion for horses, learning, and connection.
